Who are We?

Founded in 2006 as the Marda Loop Justice Film Festival, we've expanded and grown into the festival we are today. In 2021, we rebranded as the Calgary Justice Film Festival (CJFF) to better represent our broadening community members. Every screening we host is free admission, made possible by our dedicated supporters.

With a rigorous selection process, we select our films from over 500 filmmakers across 100 countries. Each screening is accompanied by a lively discussions featuring filmmakers or topic experts, fostering engaging dialogue.

During our festivals, we also host a Peace Fair, offering nonprofit organizations dedicated to justice causes a platform to connect with attendees and showcase their mission.
